Modelled in allegory of lyric poetry with the lyre-playing Apollo crowning the square clock case, rectangular base with relief ornamentation of Homer surrounded by the names of classical poets, gilded dial with Roman numeral indices, striking on the hour and half-hour. Length 38.5, width 13, height 53 cm. Key and pendulum included.
