A gold and diamond pocket watch by Charles Le Roy (watchmaker in Paris 1733-71).

Case in gold in two colours and with rose-cut diamonds. Engraved and chased decoration of a putto within an arch and columns. Indistinct case maker's mark. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numeral indices, movement with turned movement pillars, pierced balance cock, signed: "Ch Le Roy / Paris 5466". Height approx. 51.5mm. Weight approx. 52 grams.
