Emil Mazetti-Nissen (1861–1929), Ellesøhus, Denmark.
In 1888, the Dane Emil Nissen crossed the water to Sweden to establish his new factory, Malmö Choklad- och Konfektfabriks AB. To prevent himself from being confused with his father, who was also in the confectionery business, the name "Mazetti" was adopted; in Italian, it means ‘small bundle’. Nissen later added Mazetti to his surname.
In the late 1920s, Mazetti-Nissen commissioned the Ellesøhus estate on the coast just north of Copenhagen. The main building was completed in 1930 and designed by the architects Bendixen and Klein, who drew strong inspiration from the classical English country house style. The present stool was placed in front of the large veranda overlooking the lake. Mazetti-Nissen died the year before the estate was completed, and his widow moved in.
Model exhibited at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925, the Bygge och Bo exhibition at Liljevalchs in Stockholm in 1928, and the Swedish Exhibition at Dorland House in London in 1931.
