Launched in 1968, it immediately became a sales success. The glassworks were experiencing a decline in sales at that time, which was rescued and turned around thanks to this series, perfectly in tune with the spirit of the times, i.e., a product for everyday use, far removed from the luxury production that the political societal debate was reacting against.
