Inscription in pencil on the crossbar inside the sound hole with the serial number "11.0.6.". Body in spruce and maple. Purfling in pearwood around the top and sound hole. Strung with nylon with 20 frets. The nut measures 4.5 cm, 12th fret 5.4 cm. Length 93, width 31.5, height 7.5 cm.
Age-related wear. Cracks on the lid, rim, and bottom. Marks and later repair of the scroll. Case missing. Not fully examined.
Josef Holeček (1939–2025) was a Czech-Swedish guitarist, professor, and composer active in Gothenburg. He gave solo concerts in several countries across Europe as well as in the USA and Australia. He has participated in several recordings such as Britten / Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1976), Romantic Guitar Music (1982/1995),
Richard Jacob (1877–1960), better known under his brand "Weissgerber", was one of the most prominent and creative German guitar makers of the 20th century. He worked in the instrument-making town of Markneukirchen and is renowned for having combined traditional German craftsmanship with innovative Spanish building techniques. He learned the trade from his father, Karl August Jacob, but opened his own workshop in 1911.
