Horatius:
Opera.
[Venice or Treviso 1481.] Folio. 29,5 x 20 cms. [184] leaves (complete). Commentaries of Acron and Porphyrion.
Later boards, spine perished, hinges weak. Initial 14 leaves with marginal corner loss from cutting (possibly for the removal of a satin or similar), hole to first two leaves of text affecting a few words of the register and a few words on leaf [2], else rather fine despite slight staining of a few leaves. Round stamp on front pastedown of Prince Alexander Erba Odescalchi (1914-2008). With an annotation suggesting the book once belonged to Pope Pius VI (1717-1799, ”Ex Bibliotheca Pii Papae VI”).
