60 YEARS OF THE ICONIC OMEGA SPEEDMASTER
Omega launched the Speedmaster in 1957. This sports watch was initially intended to be used as a racing chronograph, but actually made its breakthrough when it was worn by the astronauts on NASA’s space programme. After the successful Apollo XI moon landing in July 1969, the Speedmaster became known to the whole world as the Moonwatch.Today, this is one of the most iconic chronograph watches of all. The Omega Speedmaster celebrates 60 years in 2017, and we will be marking the occasion with an online themed auction on 11-18 September.
