Marie-Louise Ekman is an outstandingly unique force within the Swedish art scene. Through her extensive, and not least multi-faceted artistic production, she has portrayed the day and age fully after her own mind. That Marie-Louise Ekman is more du jour today than ever is evident through Klas Gustafson’s book ”Marie-Louise Ekmans två liv” (Marie-Louise Ekmans two lives) from 2015 and the current exhibition ”Marie-Louise Ekman” at Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
