MATTO, a semi-antique Spanish, ca 239,5 x 167,5 cm (as well as ca 2 cm flat weave at the ends),
probably made at Fundacio Generalissimo Franco, Madrid. A red melange ground with a large polychrome brocade pattern with palmettes, pomegranates, roses and vines. A red melange border with large wreaths with alternately hares and birds. Spanish carpets are rare at Swedish auctions.
Partly some wear, slightly dirty, minor stains and damages. The sides have minor fold wear and one has an insignificant repair, the ends are slightly damaged.
