Francoforti ad Moenum, Martin Lechler, 1582. Folio. (36 x 22 cms.) [36] + 528 + [52] pp. + (Index, with separate title:) [184] pp. First title printed in red & black, some 50 woodcuts in text by Jost Ammann, Heinrich Burgkmair and Christian Weiditz.

Contemporary blindstamped pigskin, red edges, red letterpiece to spine. Binding somewhat worn and soiled, lacking one clasp, faint marginal waterstaining, two leaves of the index with a minute hole affecting a few letters, lower corner of second last leaf torn with some loss of text (leaf neatly repaired).
