A collection of Japanese tsubas and samurai swords

The Art of War is a themed auction-based mainly on the Japanese part of the collection by Henrik Eugene Reuters Wärd (1881-1964). The fascination with Japanese martial arts and the mythical swords has always been great in Europe, and many distinguished collections have been built over the last century. The main interest has mainly been in the often richly decorated tsuban. Iron, gold, shakudo and other metals create fantastic works with purely geometric motifs, stylized plants or motifs from Japanese mythology.
