Three parts bound in one volume, contemporary full vellum, a little soiled, speckled edges. Some slight marginal and corner dampstaining. Recent provenance: Swedish architect Ivar Tengbom (1878-1968), one of the best-known representatives of the Swedish neo-classical architecture of the 1910s and 1920s; with the Tengbom family to date.
A classic work by Carlo Antonini (1749-1835) about the ancient vases in the Vatican museums of the Popes Pio-Clementino and Chiarmonti, and those housed in the Capitoline Museum and the Galleries of Rome, as well as other vases found in the areas surrounding and throughout Rome.
