Design duo Folkform interpret traditional pleating techniques in the table lamp Lárt Plissé. The Lárt Plissé table lamp is inspired by the subtle art of pleating. Folkform’s pleated lampshades, giving the lights a dynamic, sculptural character. The forms are inspired by pleated fashion garments and the prints for the lamps were made in collaboration with artist and fashion designer Roland Hjort. The Lárt Plissé model was presented in an exhibition in Stockholm in October 2020. The lamp has already received attention and was nominated for the Swedish Design Award by Rum 2021 Product of the Year and was recently longlisted for Dezeen Awards 2021. Lárt Plissé was also awarded Residence Design Award 2022.
