Captive, captive…I want to cut my fetters.
I go through life with painfully angry lips.
My abysses, why do I enquire into you, you deserve no name.
Bronze joins itself to bronze and becomes a human being,
and the human being has iron in its heart.
But does the bronze really have this frightening gleam on its brow
from the god of the lightnings?
I throw my heart on the roadway, let the vultures devour it –
the full moon will bear me a new one.
