Carl David af Wirsén, born on December 9, 1842 in Vallentuna and died on June 15, 1912 in Stockholm, was a Swedish poet, literary critic, and the permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy from 1883 to 1884 (acting) and from 1884 to 1912 (regular).
