Swedish Art Glass - Summer Edition

With the summer's themed auction Swedish Art Glass, Bukowskis presents a curated selection of art glass with an emphasis on Kosta Boda's creative and inspiring glass artists.

Explore modern classics by Bertil Vallien and imaginatively unique sculptures by the rebel Kjell Engman, where Engman's series "Catwalk" treats us to a colourful fashion show. Lena Bergström is represented with several sculptures from the series "Planets." With its open organic form, inspired by a cracked egg, we are invited into a heavenly microcosm. When the series was launched at the Vessel Gallery in London in 2001, it marked the beginning of a long-lasting international career for Bergström, and the series has since been varied and developed in close collaboration with Kosta Boda's glassblowers and other skilled craftsmen.
