A Chinese silk robe, late Qing dynasty/around 1900.
Woven silk brocade featuring dragons and flaming pearls amidst cloud formations and auspicious objects, as well as cranes, the lower part with foaming waves, all to a purple ground. Lined with dark purple silk. The cuffs lined with blue silk featuring phoenix birds. Altered to European fashion. Length 138 cm.
Altered. Minor wear and stains.
