Japanese Prints and Works of Art

Bukowskis presents an exclusive collection of Japanese works of art, from the Edo period to the 20th century. In this auction you will find carefully selected objects such as silver, woodblock prints, porcelain, ceramics and a fascinating collection of tsubas from the Collection of Ivan Traugott. (1871-1952). Traugott was a Swedish businessman and important art collector. An early member of the China club, investor in the Karlbeck consortium and good friend and sponsor of Johan Gunnar Andersson in the early 20th century. A large part of his collections can be seen today at Nationalmuseum and East Asian Museum in Stockholm. This part from his collection comes from his eirs and has been in the family up until now.

This themed auction offers something for both the passionate collector and those who want to adorn their home with art and objects of the highest quality. All objects are characterized by outstanding Japanese craftsmanship, making them perfect additions to both modern and classic interiors. Don't miss the chance to acquire these unique treasures from the Empire of the Sun.

Consignment is now open for our upcoming live auction, Important Spring Sale, on 11–13 June.
