A pair of dragon dishes, Qing dynasty with Guangxu six character mark and of the period (1875-1908).
Decorated in underglaze blue and red enamel with dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Diameter 17.2 cm.

From the Collection of Ove Christian Lunn, Danish Diplomat and Consul General for Denmark in Shanghai 1928-1935. Lunn had an exciting diplomatic career and was posted 1910-18 in Oslo, 1918-24 in San Francisco, 1924-28 Melbourne and then finally Shanghai 1928-35. Thence by descent within the familiy.
