During the film-making of "The Dove", in 1973, a lifelong friendship between Sven Nykvist and Gregory Peck started. Sven Nykvist writes in his book regarding this friendship: "I was very happy that it was Greg who held the speech when I got the cinematographer Lifetime Achievement Award" (p. 149).
