Body and neck in birch, acrylic fretboard, celluloid covered body, front and back of neck/head, 22 frets and 615 mm (23 1/4 inches) scale length, bolt on neck, pickup unit with two singel coil pickups and four buttons (P-24). Serial number 449119.
Minor cracks and wear to the celluloid, one tuner damaged. Aged related wear.

The first 'official' batch of Hagstrom electric guitars is batch 449. The first part of this batch is Hagstrom De Luxe "small model" and the last part is the "large model" which later became the Hagstrom De Luxe 90. In this first batch there was 200 guitars built from 1958 to 1959. The last batch of Sparkle & Pearloid guitars was batch 540 built in 1963.
