We know very little about Axel Eriksson. What we can find is that his name seems to first appear in the "Sculpture Exhibition," 12 March - 3 April 1921 at Liljevalchs, where the auction's sculpture "Decorative Head" was likely exhibited. He then reappears the following year at Liljevalchs' spring salon with seemingly the same set of sculptures. At this exhibition, we know that the auction's sculpture was included as the label is still attached to the back. Eriksson then went on to exhibit and serve on the jury at the "Småland Artists' Exhibition in Nässjö," which suggests that he grew up in Småland.
