Arthur Percy (1886-1976)

Arthur Percy var en svensk bildkonstnär och keramiker född i Vickleby, Öland. Han studerade vid Konstnärsförbundets skola, samtidigt som bland annat Isaac Grünewald, för Richard Bergh och Eugène Jansson. 1908 reste han med några konstnärskollegor till Paris, året därpå debuterade de under beteckningen De unga. Percy målade främst porträtt, ofta barn, landskap och stilleben. 1923 blev han konstnärlig ledare för Gefle porslinsfabrik. Han bidrog till att konstnärligt högstående bruksföremål spreds i svenska hem. Han var också anställd som glasformgivare vid Gullaskrufs glasbruk.
