"In 1962 Børge Mogensen wanted to design a leather sofa for his own home. This was the start of the largest success ever for Fredericia. Since 1962 the models 2212, 2213 and the wing chair 2204 have been prefered by goverment building, embassies, executive offices and numerous private homes all over the world."

This auction presents a private collection of Børge Mogensen furniture from the estate of Lennart and Barbro Nork. Mr Nork was the founder and owner of Talavid Inredningar AB in Sweden and had worked closely with the iconic designer Børge Mogensen for many years. The two became close friends and Mogensen was very involved in the planning of an extension that was made to the Nork family home in Bankeryd in the 60s. The architect was Arne Karlsen and the extension was designed specifically for furniture and interiors by Mogensen.
