Contemporary full calf, worn, leather partly loose from lower cover, worn endleaves, occasional small stains and old annotations. Provenance: Gunnar Göthberg.

Alkuperä - Provenienssi

From the Collection of Fil. Dr Gunnar Göthberg. He was early on interested in the historical development of medicine. He was one of the founder of the 'Farmacihistoriska Sällskapet' in 1972. Gunnar himself translated from Latin to Swedsih the first edition of the Swedish Farmakope, dating from 1775, he was then himself 85 years old. In 1999 he was awarded the titel of honorary doctor of the Hummaniora faculty in Gothenburg and he was also an honorary member of the the Society of Pharmacists and the Society of Pharmaceutical History.
