Contemporary blindstamped calf, worn, spine defective, lacking clasps, lower inner corner with dampstain, some wear and scuffing, a few tears and small marginal paper losses (text unaffected), slight worming to front endpapers, flyleaf loose. Numerous mostly 17th-century ownership inscriptions of front endpapers and title, recent ownership inscription of Alice & Nils Wedel, occasional old annotations in text.
