According to information from John Bauer's villa in Djursholm.
John Bauer and his wife Ester had a villa built in Djursholm in the autumn of 1918. To adorn it, three stove tiles made of cast iron were acquired and installed in the fireplace. The Bauer family tragically perished the same year in a shipwreck. The seller's family rented the house between 1949-1951 and later received one of the stove tiles as a gift from the father’s employer. It then passed down within the family.
