Nils Fougstedt
A Nils Fougstedt engraved pewter top table, Svenskt Tenn, Stockholm 1926.
The top signed Nils Fougstedt and stamped with maker's mark Z7, wooden, neoclassical base. Diameter 86 cm, height 69,5 cm.
The table is executed during the first business period of Svenskt Tenn when Estrid Ericson's closest partner was Nils Fougstedt. This was before the cooperation with the two modernists Björn Trädgårdh and Uno Åhrén began.
The base is probably executed at Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Bodafors. The same furniture manufacturer also made the black lacquered furniture designed by Åhrén and Trägårdh.
