Auction highlights from Important Timepieces
Important Timepieces - an auction dedicated to the most desirable and exclusive collector's watches.
During the evening, Important Timepieces were hammered in a full auction hall on Arsenalsgatan in Stockholm. The auction included a total of 118 items with just a few unsold lots and high final prices of wristwatches and pocket watches from the world's leading watchmakers, such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Breguet and Vacheron & Constantin.
With a curated selection of exclusive vintage and collector's watches, the auction offered highlights from, among others, Patek Philippe with references such as the Nautilus ref. 3800, Aquanaut ref. 5167, Aquanaut ref. 5165 and the Nautilus "Piano Dial" ref. 5711, which became the auction's most expensive watch.
Rolex highlights included the Daytona "White Arabic Panda Dial", the Sea-Dweller "Double Red Mark II" "Tropical Dial", and the Day-Date "SCOC Dial" "Second Gen".
The auction also featured a stunning Cartier Santos Carrée with a discreet Khanjar symbol confirming its unique provenance from the royal family of Oman.
Finally, Sarpaneva exceeded all expectations with the reference, Loiste II "Bouble Black Moons", which sold three times above estimate. The Breguet Classique "Grande Complication", the IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Edition and the Breitling Geneve 765 AVI "All Black Radium Dial" also achieved high final prices.
