The highest-paid watch of the year – sold at Important Timepieces
An auction dedicated to the most desirable and exclusive collector's watches
Highlights from the autumn edition of Important Timepieces, featuring a carefully curated selection of wristwatches and pocket watches from the world’s leading manufacturers.
One of the auction’s top lots was a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph from around 1972, which sold for a final price of SEK 750,000 – the most expensive watch sold at auction in Sweden during 2024. The watch was previously sold at Bukowskis' Important Timepieces auction in spring 2019, after having been in the original owner’s possession since its purchase in Stockholm in the early 1970s.
The auction comprised a total of 121 items, wristwatches and pocket watches from the world’s leading manufacturers such as A. Lange & Söhne, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Omega, and Patek Philippe.
High demand for modern Rolex watches
The auction offered more highlights and record prices from Rolex, showing a positive market trend. During the auction, we saw great interest in modern models from the renowned manufacturer.
