Modern half morocco, some finger-soiling and occasional staining, marginal dampstaining, title stained, with scribbles in ink and a mended tear, corner of pp. 783/4 with repair of slight corner loss affecting pagination only. Two leaves bound out of order. Bookplate of W. A. Harding, Madingley.
The second part only (of 3, pp.591-818) of Topsell's ”The History of Four-footed Beasts and Serpents” of 1658 (second edition), with its own separate title. It covers bees & wasps, chameleons, crocodiles, dragons, frogs & toads, lizards, scorpions, spiders, and tortoises as well as snakes.
