Bukowskis’ live auction Contemporary Art & Design presents a carefully curated selection of contemporary art and design by renowned Swedish and international artists and designers. The auction includes works from the mid-20th century to the present day, offering a considerable range in terms of expression, materials, and artistic perspectives.

Among the highlights, you will find Scandinavian Beauty II by Andy Warhol, ”Runtom trappa” by Rolf Hanson, and “Masks” by Tony Cragg. This season also features international artists such as Elizabeth Peyton, April Gornik, Jason Martin and Donald Baechler, alongside renowned Swedish artists including Ola Billgren, Lena Cronqvist, Jockum Nordström, Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg, Mamma Andersson, Martin Wickström, Klara Kristalova and Torsten Andersson.
The Print Department presents “Mick Jagger” by Andy Warhol, as well as several graphic works by the artist, along with works by, among others, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jean Dubuffet. You can also explore a comprehensive photography section featuring images by Swedish and international photographers
The Design Department presents renowned Swedish and international designers such as Mats Theselius, John Kandell, HI Group, Paolo Pallucco, and Shiro Kuramata. Highlights include "Concrete" and "Slottsbacken" by Jonas Bohlin, alongside the sculpture "Recycled Nr. 1" by Kiki Kogelnik and sought-after furniture by the American designer Robert Wilson. The department also features a selection of contemporary studio-based designers, including Nick Ross, David Taylor, Klara Knutsson, and Mathieu Gustafsson.
In the auction you will also find lighting by, among others, Pierre Forssell, Jonas Rooth and Hans-Agne Jakobsson, as well as glass by designers such as Hanna Hansdotter and Gunnel Sahlin. Be sure not to miss the carpets designed by Diana Orving and Denise Grünstein for the Portuguese company Ferreira de Sá.

If you are a verified live auction customer and logged into your account, you can place an online absentee bid up to when there are 10 lots left before the lot you are interested in is hammered. Simply find the lot you wish to bid on and enter your maximum bid in the “Place your bid” field, after this Bukowskis will bid on the item for you.
You may also send in a written absentee bidding form to our customer service. Click here to download the absentee bidding submission form and send the filled out form to info@bukowskis.com.
If you are a verified live auction customer and logged into your account, you can participate online in real-time during the auction. Find the auction you want to participate in and click “Join the live auction”, and you will be directed to Bukowskis’ live auction streaming page. The lot being sold is shown on the screen – so keep an eye out for the lot you wish to bid on. After this, you can place your bid in the “Place your bid” field.
If you prefer to bid by telephone, one of our specialists can call you directly from the salesroom and bid on your behalf. Simply fill out the telephone bidding application form and send it to telephonebid@bukowskis.com by 8 PM on the day before the auction. Please specify the catalogue number, your full name, address and telephone number(s) where you can be reached during the auction.
Once the auction has ended, payment must be made within 8 working days. All payment details are available under “My Pages”. After payment has been received, you may collect your item from the office where it is stored or arrange transport to another office. Home delivery may also be arranged. Instructions for both collection and transport booking are available under “My Pages”.
Welcome to collect your auction purchase at Arsenalsgatan 2, during the auction day April 21–22 and April 23–24. We are unfortunately unable to offer collection on April 25 – May 3.
From Monday, May 4 you are welcome to collect your items at Bukowskis, Västberga Allé 3.
As of May 11 a storage fee of 50 SEK per item and day will be charged for uncollected items. Full payment must be received before your lot can be collected.
