The inner story – A private collection

The name ”Färg och Form” refers to both a gallery and at the same time an artistic commune, including some of the most important artist at the first half of the 20th century like Hilding Linnqvist and Axel Nilsson. Galleri Färg och Form opened in 1932, during the deep economic crises at the time, as a way for the artists to sell their art directly to the buyers, without any middlemans.

The Färg and Form artists did not have an artistic program, they were a heterogeneous group of naivists, colourists, intimists among others, but they shared a poetic and lyric way of depticting the world around them.

This theme-auction is a private collection based on artists from Färg och Form, and then added with other artists, working in the same field, telling their inner story. The works by Olle Skagerfors and Alf Lindberg, for exemple, who both lived and worked in Gothenburg, are very personal interpretations of everyday life and objects.

This collection ”The inner story” is collected over the years with a passionate knowledge and love for art.
