MATTO, an antique/semi-antique West Iran, ca 493-487 x 248-246 cm.

A dark blue ground with a polychrome herati pattern and five large medallions. A red framework with small flowers and leaves. A terracotta coloured main border with a large flower and arabesque vine.

Abrashes, one end is slightly faded. Some partly harder wear, dirty, stains among which some are a little stiff, minor colour run areas and mothdamages, holes. The ends have several rows of knots missing.
