A Swedish silver inkwell, mark of Jacob Richard Borg, Gävle (active 1815-1858)
Oblong form with rim decoration, on four paw feet and with handles in the old French style, an oval fixed compartment with a lid in filigree, flanked by two glass containers with lids in silver (the lids unmarked). Indistinct year mark. 17 x 14, height 6 cm. Weight 157 grams without the glass inserts and lids.
One lid cannot be removed. Minor wear.
