An interior with men playing chess.
The artist was the favorite model of the English painter Francis Wheatley R A (1747-1801) whom she married in 1787. After his death she married famous Irish actor Alexander Pope (1763-1835), and as Mrs Pope she was known as a painter of flowers and portraits.
