A Chinese silver five-piece tea set, Luen-Wo, Shanghai, circa 1875-1925. (5)

Comprising a teapot (height 13 cm), a cream pot and a sugar bowl with a sugar tong (unmarked) on a tray (diameter 34 cm). Marked LUEN-WO SHANGHAI and impressed mark, total weight ca 2380 g.

The tray with small dent, the handle of the cream pot probably shortened.

Provenance

A gift from the Norweigan bureau of commerce in Hong Kong to Captain Meyer. Engraved inscription B A Meyer 1907.
