Motivet målat från "Blå salongen" i Sjövillan ute på Smedsudden i den kvardröjande idyllen alldeles i utkanten av staden. I Sjövillan arbetade och bodde under perioden 1917-1923 de idag så uppskattade naivisterna med bl a Axel Nilsson, Hilding Linnqvist, Torsten Palm, Victor Axelsson och Frithiof Schüldt.
