The service ordered for the prominent business man Anders Bachmansson Nordencrantz (b. 16/7 1718 – d. 2/6 1757). Married Margareta Sofia Schröder (b. 16/7 1718 – d. 2/6 1757) in 1737. They had five children. Nordencrantz was active in the SOIC. Owner of Schebo bruk at Ununge and Ortala bruk at Väddö as well as active in the political scene as a supporter of the Caps party. This particular decoration is a variation of the one ordered by the English family of Drake at the same period. Note that the borders of the rim is decorated with elements depicting the owners activities such as rods, anvils, water-wheels, furnaces.
