Provenance
According to the distinguished expert on Frits Thaulow, Mr Vidar Poulsson, earlier at Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo, the painting has Swedish provenance from the 1930's or 40's.
It has been sold at auction on at least two occasions, the last time in New York in 1983.
