Provenance

The base is decorated with family Golitsyn's arms framed by the Polish Order of the White Eagle and Chamberlain's Key. Probably commissioned by Prince Mikhail Michajlowicz Golitsyn (1731-1804) who received the Order in 1769. He is one of the two Golitsyn who got the Order but the only one who was Chamberlain.
