Det ingår totalt åtta olika motiv i bildserien "Moldova Ballet". Serien har ställts ut bland annat på Galleri Format i Malmö, 2006, på World Press Photo Exhibition world tour, 2006, samt på Galleri Kontrast, Stockholm, 2008-2009.
Fotografen Åsa Sjöström vann 2006 första pris i kategorin Arts and Entertaiment i "World Press Photo". Med sina bilder från Moldavien har Sjöström belönats med Anna Lindhs Minnesfonds utvecklingsstipendier samt vunnit första pris i den svenska tävlingen Årets Bild år 2006."
