Provenance
The noble famly of Broman no 1166. Ennobled 1689, introduced 1689. The service was comissioned by Carl Broman (b.3/10 1703 – d. 17/4 1784) presumably for his wedding in 1735 in Stockholm to Antoinetta Maria Stierncrona af Söderby (b. 18/3 1718 – d. 2/4 1773). He made a career at court, received the Knighthood of the Order of the Polar Star in 1747, Governor of Älvsborgs län in 1749. He was also an active Director of the Swedish East India Company.
