An archaic bronze food vessel, gui, presumably Shang Dynasty (c. 1600-1040 BC)/early Zhou Dynasty (1040-256 BC)

The interior base and cover carries an archaic inscription. Height ca 20 cm. Lenght ca 27 cm.

Wear, part polished. Tarnished.

Provenance

Signe Trygger (1867-1934, née Söderström), married to Ernst Trygger (1857-1943), Professor of Law, Justices of the Supreme Court, and Prime Minister (1923-24).
