Blue ground with large polychrome palmette and leaf festoons. A broad blue main border with palmettes and leaves.
Some partly a little harder wear, stains, minor repairs, damages and fold wear, two repaired tears, partly slightly faded.

This carpet i an excellent example of the carpets that were produced in Smyrna and nearby cities at the last quarter of the 19th century. Those became an important luxury product for the export from Turkey to Europe and America. Carpets like this became very thought after and were bought to castles and wealthy homes.
