Oak, geometrical decoration in palisander. Comprising a dining table, length 126,5 cm, width 114,5 cm, height 74 cm, six chairs, and a sideboard, width 186 cm, depth 55 cm, height 95 cm excluding detachable frieze, height ca 14 cm.

Maurice Dufrene (1876-1955). År 1904 var Dufrene med och startade "La Societé des Artistes Décorateurs", en sammanslutning i syfte att skapa en motreaktion mot Art Novueau-stilen och dess excesser. Hans möbler kännetecknas av enkla ytor med enstaka ornament. Han var konstnärlig ledare över designstudion "La Maitrise" på varuhuset Les Galeries Lafayette. Dufrene ställde årligen ut inredningar på "Les Salons". Dufrene ritade La Maitrise's Pavilion på Världsutställningen i Paris 1925 samt deltog även i samarbete med flera andra formgivare på den viktiga Paris-utställningen.
