A royal brooch with a painted miniature of Queen Desideria of Sweden surrounded by blue enamel and antique-cut diamonds.
Silver, partly gold-plated. Height circa 73 mm.
Abrasions on enamel.

Belonged to countess Carolina Beata von Rosen, born Lagerstråhle. First lady of the court to Queen Desideria. Thence by descent.

Queen Desideria is painted wearing two strands of oriental pearls, a pair of pear-shaped oriental pearl earrings and a tiara. Possibly the queen Josephine diamond tiara. The tiara is now part of the Norwegian crown jewels.
