An imari 'Dame au Parasol' Pronk dish, Qing dynasty, circa 1730-40.

Depicting a Chinese lady reaching out to three waterbirds standing beside reeds, her attendant shading her with an elaborate parasol, a floral border on the well and the rim with lady and bird carotuches on an iron-red and gilt honeycomb ground, blue insects "pencilled" on the reverse. Diameter 23 cm.
