A porcelain cake stand, Imperial porcelain manufactory, St Petersburg, Russia, period of Tsar Nicholas I (1825-55).
With three circular tiers, all centring a gilt rosette within gilt wide band around the outer rim, decorated with blossom on to a white base with foliage in relief. The stem of burnished gilt bronze, gilt finial in the shape of a hawk with spread wings. Diameter 30 cm, height 40,5 cm.
