A European subject spoon tray, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1736-95).

Of hexafoil shape, decorated 'scroll and shell' border, internally with a painting of a Swedish daler of the emergency copper minting, issued between 1715 and 1719 during the Nordic War of that period roman figure with writing and the year 1716. Diameter 13 cm.

The coins, or tokens, issued between 1715 and 1719 during the Nordic War of that period, did not carry the head of the reigning monarchs and were decorated with unusual insignia including gods and godesses. 'Mars', 'Phoebus', 'Jupiter', 'Saturnus', etc, and inscriptions 'Wett och Wapen' (Wit and weapons) and 'Flink och fardig) (Agile and ready).

The collection is a study collection, accumulated during a lifetime. The collector operated within the field of oriental works of art. Due to his knowledge and sense of quality he was of great help to many of the members on Kinaklubben (The China Club) with members such as the Swedish Crown Prince Gustav Adolf, Emil Hultmark and Carl Kempe. The collection is mainly acquired in Sweden and London.
